Mike, I'm probably the last guy in the world to comment on a very intense personal moment in your life. But as one who lost his kid brother 12 years ago, and also went through the loss of a child soon after birth, I'm reliving some of my pain right along side of yours. As you know from your mother's passing, it's only the frequency of that pain that diminishes over time. The intensity will last until your final day. Embrace it, don't fight it. It's what makes us human and unique in this universe. I'm happy that you've found such a strong soul mate in these difficult time. I admire you in your bravery, and your willingness to share in your story - I don't think I ever could have done the same thing. Take care, Mike. You've got a spark of life that I find to be increasingly rare.
I am so sorry for the fact that you are going through this...Nicholas was a beautiful boy...I helped stabilize him before he went off to CHOP. I hope that you can enjoy Alex and that he helps you heal. Please let me know if there is anything you need while you are here at Pennsy.
Dearest Mike and Kris, I am so sorry to hear about your dear little boy, Nicholas Kennedy. Mary told me last night. I've just read the story from the end to the beginning. It was a heart-breaking way to read about the babies, backwards. Going from deep sadness to joyful hope with a little trepidation, was just so very sad. Love, Julie (Mary's mom)
Sending all of my love with all of my might to you guys. I'm so deeply sorry about Nicholas. My heart aches for you & for him. Love & healing & peaceful energy from John & I to you, Alex & Kris.

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how you must feel Mike. I'm so sorry. I miss Nicholas so much and I never even met him. I'm so sorry...
Alex is so lucky to have the sweetest, smartest person I know as his Dad. It's true, you do have a spark of life that is so inspiring.
